San Francisco State University Executive MBA Program

The San Francisco State University Executive MBA Program is a great option for busy professionals in the San Francisco Area.

1-Year MBA in India : Is Executive MBA Financially Sensible?

It is scheduled so that it should be convenient for professionals while still providing them with all of the coursework that they need in order to learn the skills they need.

The SFSU EMBA program participants meet for class twice a week from 6 pm to 9:30 pm for 23 weeks.

The courses include foundation courses, functional courses, special courses, and a research project.

The exact courses change depending on the availability of the faculty, but always include a total of thirteen required courses and a research project.

With the SFSU EMBA program, the students are grouped into cohorts which go through the program together from start to finish.

All of the courses are set and students are automatically registered for all of the courses when the time comes.

They don't need to worry about registering and the length of the program is predetermined to be 23 months, rather than the more variable 15 months to 7 years of a regular MBA.

This is meant to make things easier for the busy executives involved in the program.

In order to apply for the SFSU EMBA you have to have completed an undergraduate degree with a 3.0 GPA.

You also need to have taken the GMAT. Applicants must submit a professional resume, as well as the applications for the California State University for Graduate Degree and for the Executive MBA Program, sealed official transcripts from all previous universities, and a two page cover letter.

Applicants must have at least five years of full time work experience behind them as well.

Some people are lucky enough to have the cost of their executive MBA programs covered by their employers. For those without this option, it can be quite an expense.

The total cost for those who begin the Sfsu Emba in September 2009 is expected to be $49,920, which needs to be paid on a term by term basis.

Financial aid is only available in the form of student loans, either need based or private for those who do not qualify for the need based loans.
